There Is Always A Blessing After A Struggle

There Is Always A Blessing After A Struggle

Hi this is Nico Lopez and this is my life story;

Way back in 1997, my parents enrolled me at Agusan Elementary School and when I was in Grade 3, our faith was tested while our hope was distracted. It was because my father was hospitalized with an ulcer and some serious diseases.

For a while, my mother brought us to my grandmother’s house so that she would stand as our second mother while my mother was taking care of my father.

In just over a month, my father was discharged from the hospital but still on his recovery.  When I was in Grade 4, they sent my father to Bohol together with my mother to continue his recovery.

Sometimes we asked God why it happened to our family where in fact my father is sacrificing a lot for us.  We didn’t have any money left in our bank account. My mother always cried at the same time asking for help from our closest friends and relatives.

It’s really hard for us in our young age being into that kind of situation but then the Lord was telling us “not to give up because the time will come that we’ll be complete again.”

Indeed, the Lord worked in mysterious ways because after a few months stay, of my father in Bohol, he came with a smile on his face. He was completely healed. Praise the Lord!

That time happened when I was in Grade 5 already. We celebrated that day. Years passed, we graduated in elementary and then secondary and finally college.

I graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management. This was really a big accomplishment of my parents despite what we’ve faced during the early years. We continue to hold our hand and look forward to the days to come.

I got a job after I graduated and just recently, I got a job abroad. I’m still processing the necessary papers and documents at the moment but even now, I’m so excited and looking forward to this new journey.

I firmly believe that this is a gift from my big boss, my great God and He’s now busy preparing the realization of my plans soon.

When the time comes that I already have enough savings, I will build a restaurant so that I can help my co-HRM graduates and other people around.  Before I end, I’ll leave you this message from the Lord,

“Sometimes we fail from our own plans, but if you pray and continue to ask God about your plan, I’m sure you will be more successful than what you’re expecting for.”

Again this is Nico Lopez and this is my life story.

Thank you for reading and may God bless you!
